En hier is het dan, Meerijden op Texel, ook wel ShareRide genaamd. Het idee is: "Als ik toch ga, kan je net zo goed meerijden"meerijdenDit wordt reeds toegepast in Australie, Duitsland en Engeland. Wij zijn op Texel het eerste Nederlands systeem die dit lokaal gaan toepassen - MAAR DAN WEL GEHEEL GRATIS. Het is dus geen kopie van BlaBlaCar, Uber, Kazoo of overige aanbieders.
Deze werken immers op commerciële (betalende) basis, maar "Meerijden op Texel" is volledig non-profit en wordt betaald door lokale Texelse sponsoring.
Via dit systeem kun je niet alleen een rit aanbieden of aangeven dat je een bepaalde rit zoekt, maar je kunt ook meldingen ontvangen als iemand een rit online zet waar jij interesse in zou kunnen hebben, zodat je nooit een relevante rit hoeft te missen.
