Teaching a child to read time on a clock can be one of the most difficult things you will ever do. Now, there is an app for learning to tell time that takes a child from the beginning to more advanced concepts such as "half past, quarter to, etc".Learning to tell time on a traditional clock is always difficult for a child. This app is designed to go through the steps of telling time from the basics to calculating future times in the most efficient way possible. It is broken into 6 lessons:
Lesson 1 - Telling Time by Hour (1:00, 3:00)
Lesson 2 - Telling Time by Half Hour (1:30, 3:30)
Lesson 3 - Telling Time by Quarter Hour (2:45, 5:15)
Lesson 4 - Telling Time by Five Minute Intervals (4:55, 6:05)
Lesson 5 - Telling Time using Common Expressions (Quarter past three, Half past five)
Lesson 6 - Telling Future Times (It's 1:00, what time will it be in 30 minutes)
In each lesson the child is awarded "lights". They get a trophy if they get 12 lights which requires them to master most of the content. Answers are reenforced by affirmation with children's voices. The app keeps track of progress in the menu by clearly showing the progress of each lesson.
Telling Time 2nd Grade Skills Permissions
Read phone status and identity - allows the app to access the phone features of the device. this permission allows the app to determine the phone number and device ids, whether a call is active, and the remote number connected by a callView network connections - allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected
Full network access - allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. the browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet
